Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Four alleged perpetrators who are said to have stolen sweets and care products were arrested in Schwerin on Wednesday. They had previously been noticed with similar offenses throughout Germany. The district court in Schwerin issued arrest warrants against the group on Thursday at the request of the public prosecutor. She is now accused of gang-related theft. This was announced by the Schwerin police on Friday.

The two men and two women, aged 33 to 51, were seen stealing from a grocery store last Thursday, police said. On Wednesday they were recognized by a shop detective in Schwerin. The observer alerted the police, who checked the group and their vehicle. More than 300 care products and sweets were found and confiscated. It turned out that the perpetrators had already been noticed in criminal offenses with similar procedures throughout Germany.
