Renneritz (dpa/sa) – A fatal flight accident in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld last year is probably due to a risky flight maneuver. According to a report by the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) published on Tuesday, the pilot of the machine apparently flew a so-called “circumstance pattern in 50 meters”.

The maneuver was practiced in the GDR, was “extremely risky” and did not meet today’s standards. According to the experts, the plane tipped over so severely that the pilot finally lost control.

A total of four people died in the air accident in Renneritz on July 18, 2021, including three young people and the 55-year-old pilot. A first accident investigation in the past year was initially unsuccessful.
