Munich (dpa / lby) – An accident at Munich Airport forced 122 passengers to switch to a replacement aircraft. A plane bound for Brussels was damaged in an unfortunate chain reaction, police said on Tuesday. The driver of a baggage car reportedly hit a baggage carousel next to the passenger plane with one of his trailers on Monday.

This caused the belt to shift and crashed into the plane. As a result, its cargo hold and the right engine were damaged, it said. A police spokesman said the flight to Brussels was delayed by about an hour due to the forced transfer: “The effects could be kept to a minimum.” The passengers were never endangered.
