As the federal police announced on Monday, the 60-year-old was looking for his umbrella in the platform area of ????the station in Moosburg an der Isar (Freising district) on Sunday afternoon. The wind had blown the umbrella there. However, a train was approaching at full speed.
The man initially reacted neither to a warning whistle nor to the loudly audible emergency braking of the train. Only when the train was only 100 meters away from him did he leave the track. The train only came to a standstill 200 meters later. The track was closed for 75 minutes. The federal police are investigating the 60-year-old for dangerous interference in rail traffic.
