Thuringia: bus driver's escape from an accident thwarted by cyclists

Stadtroda (dpa/th) – An attentive cyclist ended the accident escape of a bus driver in the Saale-Holzland district on Sunday. The cyclist noticed how the bus in Stadtroda damaged several parked cars and then followed it, the police said. Police officers, alerted by the cyclist, stopped the bus as it continued its journey. According to the police, the non-local driver had the navigation system guide him onto a partially blocked road. There the double-decker touched three cars. According to the police, the signs in the driveway were made unrecognizable by strangers and prohibition signs and warning beacons were set aside.
