Berlin (dpa / lnw) – After his release from Borussia Dortmund, the DHB will also deal with André Fuhr’s personnel. “In view of the new developments, the German Handball Federation will decide on how to proceed in the coming days,” said the DHB on Tuesday on request. There will be no further statements with regard to the personal rights of those involved “for the time being,” it said.
On Monday, the Bundesliga club drew consequences from the events surrounding the dismissals of the two national players Mia Zschocke and Amelie Berger and released coach Fuhr (51) with immediate effect. According to BVB, however, the decision on the exemption was “expressly not linked to any prejudice”.
Fuhr has been the coach of the U19/20 national team on a fee basis since 2019. The next course for the juniors will not take place until October 24th. Nevertheless, there will probably be a timely decision as to whether Fuhr can continue for the DHB or not.
Zschocke and Berger had submitted terminations without notice, which BVB had agreed to on Sunday after being rejected. In connection with this dismissal, there had been a crisis meeting in which representatives of the contact point for violence and abuse in top-class sport had also taken part.
Meanwhile, Zschocke is moving to Norway to join Storhamar Handball Elite, as the Champions League participant announced on Tuesday.
