Euskirchen (dpa / lnw) – After an ATM was blown up in a supermarket parking lot in Euskirchen, several thousand euros in cash landed on the ground early Tuesday morning. The money was seized by the police, said a police spokesman. The total is a sum in the “low five-digit range”. It is still being determined whether the perpetrators made any loot at all. A witness saw four people flee in a black car. The ATM in a container in the parking lot was completely destroyed, but other buildings were not damaged, according to the police.
