Tübingen (dpa / lsw) – After water damage in the Tübingen university clinic, two stations remain closed for the time being. A spokeswoman for the hospital said on Monday that 64 beds for patients could not be used there. Patients who were previously treated there have been transferred to neighboring wards in the same building. When the rooms can be used again is just as unclear as the amount of damage.
A construction site in the building was initially flooded on Saturday due to a defective sprinkler system. From there, the water flowed into several surgical and urological stations below. According to the senior medical director of the university hospital, Michael Bamberg, hospital staff evacuated the rooms “quickly and easily”. According to the hospital, two stations were released again after cleaning work on Sunday.
