Munich (dpa / lby) – FC Bayern Munich wants to get in the mood for the eagerly awaited Champions League duel with FC Barcelona on Saturday (3.30 p.m.) with a home win in the Bundesliga against VfB Stuttgart. “I think everyone wants to be German champions and we’re not first,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann before the game against Stuttgart, who were still without a win.

After two draws in the league, Bayern lost their lead in the table. Nagelsmann therefore demands maximum commitment from his players. “Anyone who pulls the handbrake against Stuttgart can put the parking brake on against Barcelona on Tuesday,” warned the coach.

Three days before the reunion with Robert Lewandowski, Bayern have to do without winger Kingsley Coman. The Frenchman tore a muscle fiber in the final training session on Friday and will be out for the time being. Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry are said to go on the offensive again compared to the 2-0 win against Inter Milan. National player Leroy Sané, who is outstanding in Milan, will initially sit on the bench to recover, as Nagelsmann announced.
