Salem/ Langenburg (dpa/lsw) – Relatives of the British royal family in Baden-Württemberg reacted with dismay to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. For Bernhard Prince of Baden, even after her death, she remains an “everlasting role model for all of us”. He and his family were “deeply shaken” by their deaths, as the house of Baden announced. Prince Philip, husband of the Queen until his death, was the great-uncle of Bernhard Prince of Baden.
Philipp Prince of Hohenlohe Langenburg also expressed his condolences for King Charles and his family. Queen Elisabeth was “very attached” to the Hohenlohe Langenburg family, said the management of the Hohenlohe Langenburg family. Prince Philip is a grandnephew of King Charles.
Prince Bernhard and Prince Philip were among the invited guests at Prince Philip’s funeral service at Windsor Castle last year. It was initially unclear whether the two would also come to the Queen’s funeral service.
