Rohrberg (dpa/sa) – A single-family house on Wismarer Weg in Rohrberg (Altmarkkreis Salzwedel district) burned out, the residents were uninjured. According to the police, a 26-year-old and a 64-year-old woman were in the house with their four dogs when the fire broke out on Sunday evening. Accordingly, the 26-year-old heard a loud bang and perceived a burnt smell. She found that the roof was on fire. The fire brigade was deployed with 15 vehicles and more than 60 people. Fire investigators and forensic technicians from the police assume that the cause of the fire is a technical defect. According to initial estimates, the damage is estimated at around 250,000 euros.
