Tribsees (dpa/mv) – The renovation of the A20 near Tribsees, which collapsed five years ago, again requires the motorway to be completely closed. On Wednesday, both directions of travel will be completely blocked from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., as the federal Autobahn GmbH announced on Monday.

A tower crane east of the Trebeltal Bridge will be dismantled and rebuilt west of it, it said. The individual tower elements would have to be loaded and transported. At the same time, road marking and cleaning work is being carried out to ensure road safety in the darker months of the year. During the full closure, traffic will be diverted via state roads 19 and 23 between the Tribsees and Bad Sülze junctions. Disabilities there must be expected.

Again and again the A20 near Tribsees is blocked due to work to repair the damage caused in 2017. The work should be completed in 2024.
