Immenstadt (dpa / lby) – Due to a technical defect, an emergency siren in the Allgäu triggered a permanent alarm for a long time on Thursday morning. Callers from the Immenstadt district of Seifen (Oberallgäu district) counted the public siren warning 29 times in a row, said a police spokesman. “It was practically constant crying.” The alarm went off around 7 a.m. A technician later confirmed to the community that the siren was defective.
