Güstrow (dpa / mv) – Police officers confiscated a large quantity of suspected contraband cigarettes from a dealer at the weekly market in Güstrow. As a police spokesman said on Thursday, a clerk called the officials on Wednesday. He had noticed more than 50 untaxed packs of tobacco products in the vehicle at a greengrocer’s. The 31-year-old retailer stated in a survey that he “wants to give away the approximately 10,000 fags to friends”. But the officials didn’t believe him and went to customs. He initiated criminal tax proceedings against two of the accused.
