Nordhausen (dpa/th) – After a rear-end collision with two injured people on the A38 near Nordhausen, the carriageway in the direction of Göttingen was completely closed for hours. According to initial information from the highway police, a truck switched from the right to the left side of the road on Tuesday at around 8 a.m. The 30-year-old truck driver overlooked a car coming from behind. The car crashed into the truck. The 28-year-old driver was seriously injured in the collision and his 37-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. The lockdown was lifted around 1 p.m.
