Mannheim (dpa / lsw) – The fruit and vegetable department of a supermarket in Mannheim has been closed because of a supposedly poisonous spider. Employees discovered the unusual spider in a banana box on Monday, police said. Animal rescue was finally able to give the all-clear: the eight-legged friend was a native curled-hunting spider. The animal was abandoned in a bush in the parking lot and the fruit and vegetable department was unlocked after 45 minutes.
