Leonberg (dpa / lsw) – Dormice have nested in a traffic light in the Böblingen district – and thus more or less caused an accident. As the police announced on Sunday, a technician discovered the rodents on Saturday when he wanted to repair the traffic light at the accident site in Leonberg. The animals had therefore damaged the technology, the traffic light failed. As a result, a driver disregarded the applicable right-of-way rules and collided with another car. Three people in the two cars were slightly injured. They came to the hospital. Since dormouse are protected species, the repair of the traffic light had to be postponed, according to the police.
