Weißenfels (dpa/sa) – Four people were injured in a rear-end collision on Autobahn 9 near Weißenfels (Burgenlandkreis). They came to a hospital. As the police announced on Friday, the car of a 34-year-old had come to a standstill on the A9 towards Munich due to a technical defect on Thursday evening. There were two passengers in his car. An approaching pickup truck collided with the broken-down car because the driver reportedly saw it too late. Because of the collision, the two vehicles became so wedged that an emergency service had to remove the occupants from both vehicles. Further information about the injured was not initially known. The A9 was closed until late in the evening.
