Rostock (dpa / mv) – Second division football club FC Hansa Rostock can again plan with midfielder Svante Ingelsson for the away game next Saturday (1 p.m. / Sky) at Karlsruher SC. The 24-year-old Swede has recovered from the foot injury that forced him to watch the home game against FC St. Pauli (2-0) and is again an option for the starting XI. “He’s back. But we have a few injured players. Simon Rhein and Kai Pröger had to stop training. We’ll have to wait and see if it’s enough for both of them,” said Hansa trainer Jens Härtel on Thursday.
Midfielder Rhein is struggling with a foot injury, striker Pröger has adductor problems. Both were among the top performers in the season so far for the Rostockers, who started well with three wins from five games.
The overall respectable start lets the Mecklenburgers travel to Baden with a lot of confidence. “When we’re ready, nobody likes to play against us. We have to act with physique and aggressiveness in duels. We can annoy any team in the league, and that’s also the plan for Karlsruhe,” said Härtel.
The Hanseatic League have not yet finalized their personnel planning. “The plans are on the table. We are still very sparsely occupied in some positions,” confirmed the Hansa coach. The Rostockers still have a few days left. The transfer period ends on September 1st at 6 p.m.
