Halle (dpa/sa) – For Friday, the Verdi trade union in Saxony-Anhalt has again called for warning strikes in local public transport. According to union information, the Hallesche Verkehrs AG, the Dessauer Verkehrsgesellschaft, the Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe, the Magdeburger Verkehrsgesellschaft and the PVG Burgenland are all affected. After several rounds of negotiations with the employer side, no agreement has yet been reached in the collective bargaining dispute. The next round of negotiations will take place on August 29th.
“In the previous rounds of negotiations, no negotiable offer for a further development of income and training allowances was presented,” said a spokesman for Verdi. The union is demanding an hourly wage increase of EUR 1.50 for public transport employees and an increase in the wages of trainees by EUR 150 per month. So far, the employer side has offered, among other things, a one-time payment of 300 euros and a “modernization” of the pay scale. According to Verdi, the negotiations affect around 2,000 employees. The employees had already stopped work temporarily in July.
