Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – A man was attacked with kicks and punches in downtown Wiesbaden and seriously injured. The 37-year-old was initially knocked down for no reason by a group of five to six people on Saturday morning, the Wiesbaden police said after initial investigations. When the man was already on the ground, the group continued to hit and kick him.
When a companion tried to rush to the man’s aid, he was also attacked. The group then fled on foot. The 37-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, his 36-year-old companion was largely unhurt. According to the police, they have already arrested a suspect.
