Grassau (dpa / lby) – A paraglider crashed in the Traunstein district shortly after take-off from a great height and was seriously injured. The 20-year-old flew off the Rahlhang near Grassau on Sunday afternoon, as the mountain rescue service announced on Monday. He suffered severe head and spine injuries in the fall. He was given first aid by an emergency doctor from the mountain rescue service and then taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter. It was initially unclear how the accident happened.
