Nürtingen/Reutlingen (dpa/lsw) – In the fire in an apartment building in Nürtingen (Esslingen district), four people were injured, some seriously. According to the police, the fire brigade managed to limit the flames to the ground floor apartment of the eight-party building on Sunday afternoon. Its 35-year-old resident reportedly suffered serious injuries and was flown to the hospital in a rescue helicopter. An 80-year-old neighbor was slightly injured, and two other residents were also slightly injured by the smoke rising up. All three came to hospitals for treatment. The property damage is said to be around 250,000 euros.
According to the police, the affected ground floor apartment in the Roßdorf district was badly damaged and is uninhabitable for the time being. The police are investigating the cause of the fire. According to the information, the fire brigade was deployed with nine vehicles and 57 forces. There were also ten vehicles and 21 emergency services.
