Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) – Two package drivers are said to have misappropriated hundreds of packages with returns to mail order companies. This Wednesday (9:00 a.m.), the 30 and 57-year-old men have to answer to the Wuppertal district court for embezzlement and violation of postal secrecy.
They are said to have picked up more than 400 returned parcels from parcel shops in two days in summer 2020, but then failed to bring them to the delivery base. According to the indictment, they stored over 4,000 items in a specially rented garage.
These included computer accessories, shoes, clothing and mobile phones. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the accused wanted to resell the items.
