Munich (dpa / lby) – FC Bayern has committed the South Korean offensive talent Hyunju Lee. The Munich team loaned Lee in January from the South Korean first division club FC Pohang Steelers for a year with an option to buy. As announced by FC Bayern on Tuesday, the option has now been taken prematurely. Lee has a contract until the end of June 2025.

“Lee has made a very good impression on us over the past six months. We’re confident in his sport and that’s why we decided to sign him early,” explained junior manager Jochen Sauer.

Lee has been used six times in the second team of the record German champions, but was held back for several weeks in the spring by a hand injury.
