A new Russian strike, this time in the city of Dnipro, hit an apartment building and a building of the security services on Friday, July 28. This attack injured at least nine people.

“Currently, we are aware of nine injuries, including two children,” said Sergiy Kruk, of the Ukrainian emergency services, revising upwards a previous report of five injuries given by the Minister of the Interior.

Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Bakumov pointed out on Telegram that this pre-war city of one million had been the target of a Russian missile attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky added that the Ukrainian security service building in Dnipro was also hit by the Russian strike.

“Russian missiles have once again spread terror,” he commented on Telegram, promising to make Russia “accountable” and “punished.” Videos posted on social networks and in the Ukrainian media show the top floors of a residential complex partly gutted and smoking, while the courtyard is littered with debris.
