Dresden (dpa/sn) – With a state-wide program, the Saxon Music Council wants to bring music closer to more than 250 Ukrainian children and young people. 100,000 euros are earmarked for this in a Ukraine fund by the end of the year, said the managing director of the Music Council, Torsten Tannenberg, on Friday. With 20 partner organizations – for example music schools – music education offers are arranged. The children could take part in choirs, dance classes or a fairy tale performance.
Some music teachers from the Ukraine have also found work through the project, which is funded by several foundations, it said.
