Metzingen (dpa/lsw) – The fashion group Hugo Boss more than doubled its operating result in the second quarter from 42 million euros in the previous year to 100 million euros. With an increase of 40 percent to 878 million euros, the group achieved the highest turnover that Hugo Boss has ever generated in a second quarter, according to information from Wednesday in Metzingen. “We grew impressively in the first half of the year,” said CEO Daniel Grieder. Hugo Boss has set itself the goal of being one of the world’s top 100 brands.

The company is assuming that sales this year will reach a record level of 3.3 to 3.5 billion euros. Compared to the previous year, that would be an increase of 20 to 25 percent. For earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), the group believes an increase of between 25 and 35 percent to 285 to 310 million euros is possible.
