Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – After the death of a pedestrian in a possible illegal race between two cars in Nuremberg, the driver of a car is still unknown. This has not yet reported and has not yet been determined, said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office in Nuremberg-Fürth on Wednesday. A 23-year-old suspect has been in custody since Monday. The prosecution is investigating against him on suspicion of a prohibited motor vehicle race resulting in death and an escape from an accident.

The investigators accuse him of having raced a second car in the city center on Sunday night and lost control. The 23-year-old hit a 31-year-old pedestrian with his car, who died on the spot. The 23-year-old fled after the accident, but turned himself in to the police on Sunday evening.
