Neuenstadt am Kocher (dpa/lsw) – No charges will be brought against the parents whose four-year-old twin boys died in an attic fire in Neuenstadt am Kocher. This was reported by the “Heilbronner Voice” (Tuesday). The investigation into involuntary manslaughter was dropped with the approval of the court. They refrained from bringing charges “because the consequences of the crime that affected the accused are so severe that imposing a penalty would obviously be inappropriate,” the prosecutor said, according to the newspaper. The fire happened just before Christmas 2021.
