Gablingen (dpa / lby) – Glasses instead of explosives: A police dog found lost glasses in Swabia. As the police announced on Wednesday, a 53-year-old had lost his visual aids in a forest near Gablingen (Augsburg district) last week.
When the man was looking for his glasses in the woods, a police dog handler found out about it and came to the 53-year-old’s aid. Together with the police dog Connor he searched the forest. After five minutes the dog had found the glasses.
Usually, the police dog detects explosives or is used as a guard dog, a police spokesman said. He was still able to find the glasses worth 1,000 euros. The 53-year-old later thanked the dog with a small snack.
