Hockenheim (dpa / lsw) – A fire broke out in a recycling company in Hockenheim (Rhein-Neckar district) on Friday evening. Huge clouds of black smoke rolled over the adjacent federal highway 39. Numerous firefighters worked for hours to get the fire under control, the police said. The main road was closed in both directions for around four and a half hours because of the smoke and was only released again late in the evening. A police spokesman said no one was injured in the fire.
