There were “undeniable” security flaws in Shinzo Abe’s security. He was shot dead at the Nara (west) election rally Friday. The police chief in Nara promised an investigation.
Nara Prefectural Police Chief Tomoaki Onizuka stated to reporters that “It’s undoubtedly that there were issues regarding custody and security arrangements of former Prime Minister Abe.” He pledged to “fully comprehend the issues and take appropriate actions”.
