Ludwigsburg (dpa / lsw) – Two of the three preliminary round opponents of the MHP giants Ludwigsburg in the coming Champions League season have been determined. In Group E, the Bundesliga basketball team meets the Turkish club Darussafaka Istanbul, the Israeli representative Hapoel Jerusalem and a qualifier who is still being determined. That was the result of the draw for the competition, which begins in October, on Thursday in Mies, Switzerland.
“We caught a strong, challenging group,” said new head coach Josh King. “But we’re looking forward to our team being able to compete against such high-quality opponents in front of our own fans.” Last season, the Ludwigsburg team reached the Final Four and finished third.
