Malchin (dpa/mv) – In Malchin (Mecklenburg Lake District), a driver drove his car into the oncoming lane and caused an accident with three injuries. As a police spokeswoman said, the accident happened on Wednesday afternoon on federal highway 104. The 56-year-old driver was seriously injured. In the other car with which the car collided head-on, the 86-year-old driver and an 80-year-old passenger were injured. All three were taken to hospitals. The federal highway 104, an important traffic axis on the lake district, was closed for almost an hour. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
