Aichelberg (dpa / lsw) – Probably because of a microsleep, a driver lost control of his car on the A8 near Aichelberg (Göppingen district) and crashed into a crash barrier. A passenger who was not wearing a seat belt was injured in the accident on Monday morning, the police announced on Tuesday. The 64-year-old driver’s car came off the deceleration lane and drove across a green area until it came to a stop at a crash barrier. Since fuel leaked out of the car after the accident, the highway maintenance department was also on site.
