Le’Veon Bell and Adrian Peterson are well-known for their star running backs in NFL. But this summer, they’ll be fighting in the boxing ring. Bell and Peterson have signed contracts to participate in a boxing show at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles on July 30th.
Bell confirmed the news via Twitter Friday afternoon.
Let’s take a look at what happened to the tape between these two players.
Let’s take a look at their differences:
Both players were considered to be the best at their positions not too long ago. Bell, who was only a brief player with the Ravens or Buccaneers last season, was an All Pro during the 2014-2017 seasons. Bell broke Steelers’ single-game rush records in 2016 and 2017. Peterson, a 2010 All-Decade performer, won his third title as a rushing champion in 2015, at the age of 30. Peterson, like Bell, saw very little playing time last season as he was playing for the Titans or Seahawks.
Bell has been passionate about boxing since childhood. He used boxing as cardio during his time in Pittsburgh. Bell’s love for boxing grew in 2018 when he was away from football.
Bell stated that he was always looking for ways to improve his health when Bell spoke about his boxing program. Bell said that he wanted his body in good shape, so that as the season approaches you will start to see that shape change. Boxing is for my cardio and stamina. It’s different from football. I try to keep my joints as healthy as possible in the offseason, but still get cardio. I have been boxing training a lot instead of doing lots of drills and cutting.
