Wesel (dpa / lnw) – An 89-year-old man died in a car accident on the B70 in Hamminkeln (Wesel district). A 22-year-old driver collided on Saturday when turning with the 89-year-old, who was driving his light moped on a sidewalk and cycle path, as the police in Wesel announced on Tuesday. The seriously injured man was taken to hospital by rescue helicopter. He succumbed to his injuries there, according to relatives.
