Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) – After the shots were fired at a Bielefeld vocational college, the 20-year-old suspect is brought before a magistrate. A police spokesman announced this on Saturday on request. The man is said to have planned a killing spree at the school and shot several times at the door of the staff room with a blank gun. There were no injuries.

He had announced his project on the Internet in a self-written video. When the police searched the school building, they found Molotov cocktails, a dagger, a knife and two pistols.

According to the current state of knowledge, the arrested person is neither a former nor a current student at the vocational college. Several students and teachers who were in the school building at the time of the crime accepted an offer of care from the police.

A teacher had alerted the police on Friday and reported gunshot noises in the building. The police had arrived with a large contingent, special forces were added. The suspect took refuge on a flat roof and was overpowered there.
