Essen (dpa / lnw) – Warm temperatures, but showers and thunderstorms from time to time: people in North Rhine-Westphalia have to be prepared for changeable weather in the coming days. A meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) said on Saturday in Essen that more clouds than last and showers of rain are to be expected on Sunday. Thunderstorms are also possible east of the Rhine. Storms with heavy rain and gusts of wind cannot be ruled out locally – with maximum temperatures of 22 to 25 degrees in the west and 25 to 28 degrees in the east. According to the DWD, showers of rain and isolated thunderstorms will occur again during the night.

Even at the beginning of the week it remains changeable, according to the meteorologist. Especially in the first half of the day it was heavily clouded with showers and thunderstorms. At noon it finally loosens up a bit, and the sun comes out from time to time – with a maximum of 23 to 26 degrees. On Tuesday, the DWD also expects a mix of sun and clouds as well as some precipitation. There could be more rain again from the middle of the week. In addition, according to the experts, the temperatures could then crack the 30-degree mark again.
