Kamen (dpa / lnw) – Manfred Schnieders is the new president of the Westphalia Football and Athletics Association. The 67-year-old previous Vice-President was unanimously elected at the Association Day in Kamen on Saturday and thus succeeds the long-standing President Gundolf Walaschewski. “I know both amateur football and athletics very well as a runner and run organizer and will be a president of all,” said Schnieders. The former DFB Vice President Peter Peters had withdrawn his previously announced candidacy at short notice.
