Dresden (dpa/sn) – Saxony’s government has extended the Corona Protection Ordinance by four weeks until the beginning of the summer holidays in view of the increasing number of infections. The previous basic protection measures will be maintained up to and including July 16, as the Ministry of Social Affairs announced on Tuesday. Passengers in local public transport must wear at least medical mouth and nose protection. FFP2 masks are mandatory in hospitals and other medical facilities, and testing is also mandatory in nursing homes. The extension of the corona measures should also take into account the generally high utilization of the hospitals, it said.
