Bad Soden/Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – While fleeing the police, a driver collided head-on with a car. The 36-year-old sustained serious injuries. The three occupants of the oncoming car were slightly injured, as the police in Wiesbaden announced on Saturday. The 36-year-old wanted to avoid a police check on Friday evening.

According to the information, the woman was noticed by a patrol in Königstein (Hochtaunuskreis) because of her driving style. But instead of stopping, the woman fled via Bundesstraße 8 in the direction of Bad Soden (Main-Taunus-Kreis). In doing so, she came into the opposite lane for an unknown reason. A 23-year-old driver dodged at the last second and rammed a delineator. Another car collided with the 36-year-old’s car.

The B8 was closed for several hours due to the salvage work. There was damage of around 15,000 euros. The police initially did not provide any further information about the three slightly injured people. Why the woman fled from the patrol also remained open.
