Herzogenaurach (dpa / lnw) – Dortmund’s Marco Reus is said to join the squad of the national soccer team after overcoming an infection after the Nations League opener against Italy. National coach Hansi Flick announced this plan on Friday in Herzogenaurach before the DFB team traveled to Bologna for the game against the European champions. The 33-year-old Reus was able to complete an individual training session again on Friday.

If everything goes as planned, the offensive player should come to the DFB quarter in Herzogenaurach at the weekend. After the game on Saturday (8.45 p.m. / RTL), the national team travels back to Franconia that night. Ideally, Reus could be available again for the next international match against England on Tuesday in Munich, but at the latest against Hungary (June 11) and the second leg against the Italians in Mönchengladbach (June 14).
