Reichertshofen (dpa/lby) – Four people were injured, some seriously, in a head-on collision between a police patrol car and a Bundeswehr service vehicle in Upper Bavaria. The two police officers, aged 22 and 28, had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries, as did a 27-year-old soldier. The 37-year-old passenger of the Bundeswehr car also came to a clinic with minor injuries, the police reported on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old turned onto federal highway 300 in the Bundeswehr car near Reichertshofen (Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district) on Tuesday. According to previous investigations, the veteran entered the oncoming lane and collided with the patrol car there. Both cars were severely demolished, the property damage is more than 50,000 euros. An expert should now clarify the exact cause of the accident.
