Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – After the euphorically celebrated class stay at the last minute, VfB Stuttgart is experiencing a rush for season tickets for the coming season in the Bundesliga. In the first 24 hours after the start of sales, 6,000 season tickets were sold, the club announced on Thursday. That’s more than ever on the first day. So far, it has only been resale to fans who already had a season ticket. The sale of season tickets to members will begin on June 20th.
“Exceeding the 6,000 mark within 24 hours is a sensational intermediate result. This shows once again the great euphoria and solidarity of the people in the region with our VfB,” said Rouven Kasper, VfB Board Member for Marketing and Sales, in the announcement. The chairman of the board, Alexander Wehrle, explained that this club record was “both an incentive and an assignment”. The next Bundesliga season starts on the first weekend in August.
