Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – In North Rhine-Westphalia, a seven-day incidence of new corona infections of 300 was registered on Wednesday. This emerges from the figures published by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). The day before, the value was 319.9 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, a week earlier it was 388. A month ago, a value of 827.2 had been reported.

Within 24 hours, 12,117 confirmed new cases and 27 deaths related to the corona virus were added.

For some time now, however, experts have been assuming that there is a high number of unrecorded cases of infection – for example because not all infected people have a PCR test done. Only these count in the statistics.
