Essen (dpa / lnw) – After the warnings of the German Weather Service (DWD) of thunderstorms and heavy rain at the beginning of the week, the situation in North Rhine-Westphalia remained calm on Monday. According to the meteorologists in Essen, there was heavy rain and thunderstorms in several places nationwide, such as in the region north of Dortmund. However, the wind remained inconspicuous. There was no storm, said an expert in the evening of the German Press Agency.

The state control center of the police confirmed the picture. Occasionally there were short operations because of flooded streets. However, the situation remained calm, especially compared to last Friday, when several tornadoes swept across East Westphalia.
