Freiburg (dpa/lsw) – Two drivers and three cyclists were injured in an accident in downtown Freiburg on Monday afternoon. One of the drivers, an 82-year-old, left his lane, police said. He went from the right-turn lane to the straight-ahead lane. Three cyclists and a car would have waited there at a red traffic light.
The 82-year-old drove the three bikes and the car, it was said. The senior was taken to a hospital. The police were initially unable to provide any further information about the injuries. It was initially unclear why the senior left the road, a police spokesman said.
