Naturgy has closed its volunteer plan in Spain with the departure of about 800 workers, around 15% of the template in the country.

Of these, some 600 outputs have already materialized until this month of July, while the rest will be specified in the remainder of the year, they informed Europe Press Sources of the Company.

The energy will carry out in the second half of the year a process of incorporating qualified workers from about 200 people.

Last March Naturgy raised the unions an adjustment of about 1,000 jobs in Spain, through low attempts and voluntary, although finally in negotiations that figure was cut up to 700 losses.

The Group raised the dissatuation of this personnel in Spain attending to the evolution of the energy sector (decarbonization, energy transition, greater competition …), as well as to criteria of efficiency and digitization.

However, the final 800 low figure has risen in about 100 workers more than initially agreed due to the high adhesion to the voluntary low plan.

Naturgy, whose main shareholders are Criteria Caixa, CVC and GIP, is immersed at a partial OPA launched by the Australian IFM fund to take up to 22.69% of its capital.
Next week the group will present its new strategic plan.

The global energy template amounted to 2020 to about 10,540 employees, after having already been cut in recent years through various plans of agreed outings.

From this total template, some 5,318 employees corresponded to Spain, with 27.5% of them over 50, according to data from the Sustainability Report and Non-Financial Information State of the Company.
